In 2005 this painting earned the fifth point towards the much coveted Master Circle honorarium of the International Association of Pastel Societies. At the time I was awarded the gold plated bronze medallion at the 2007 IAPS convention only 29 artists had earned this honorarium since the society began in 1995.
